Responsibilities
The Channel Assistant will operate on several fronts to provide effective support to the channel partners:
1. Program Support. Communicate the company’s partner program to the partner community in LATAM to ensure that partners are:
a. Aware of and leverage the resources provided by the company’s partner program.
b. Follow the guidelines of the partner program both commercially and technically.
c. Maintain partner agreements up to date.
d. Respond promptly to any partner inquire.
2. New business acceleration. Support LATAM or country initiatives to accelerate revenues. This may include but not limited to support new partner recruitment, tracking channel opportunities, and support partner events.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: The Channel Assistant must collaborate effectively with various internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a coordinated approach to channel management.
4. Reporting: Leverage the CRM tools to generate reports that provides the health of the channel program in LATAM
Competencies
1. Productivity tools and Systems: Channel Assistant needs to be comfortable using various digital tools, such as customer relationship management (CRM) software, video conferencing platforms, and project management tools.
2. Time management: As a partially remote sales worker, Channel Assistant needs to be able to manage their time efficiently, balancing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines without direct supervision.
3. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as the work will be mostly remote. The Channel Assistant needs to effectively convey his/her message and persuade potential customers through emails, phone calls, and video conferences. And effectively communicate the benefits and features to potential end-users and partners of the solution sold.
4. Relationship-building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners is crucial for this position. The Channel Assistant needs to be able to establish rapport, trust, and credibility with partners through virtual communication channels.
5. Self-motivation: Being a remote salesperson requires a high level of self-motivation and discipline, as you need to stay focused and productive without the structure of a traditional office environment.
6. Problem-solving: The Channel Assistant should be able to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges, address customer objections, and find solutions that meet the needs of both the opportunity and the company.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics or Engineering.
2. 5+ years of channel experience in a software/cloud industry with a vendor, reseller, or distributor
3. Languages:
a. English: intermediate written and verbal proficiency.
b. Portuguese: working knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the LATAM partner program by ensuring compliance, updating agreements, and addressing partner inquiries.
- Assist in new business acceleration through partner recruitment, opportunity tracking, and event coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, support) to align channel strategies.
- Generate CRM-based reports on channel program performance.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering
- 5+ years of channel experience in the software or cloud industry (vendor, reseller, or distributor)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- High self-motivation and time management capability
- English: intermediate written and verbal proficiency (Portuguese is a plus)
Nice to have
- Experience in software quality or testing solutions
- Familiarity with ERP, Cloud, or DevOps environments
- Understanding of application development processes
